On average, Oklahomans suffer from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to a greater degree than most Americans. The scars of childhood trauma have resulted in poor outcomes for many of our neighbors, as reflected in high rates of chronic disease, mental illness, incarcerations, and other physical and social problems. Over the lifetime of these children, the cost of maltreatment is projected to exceed $3.2 billion. That is only a part of the cost of ACEs in our state.

Resilient Oklahoma has brought together resources from various public and private organizations to educate families, individuals, professionals, and communities while building a more caring and resilient population.
